Meat Lovers Pizza Bread Recipe

Meat Lovers’ Pizza Bread is brimming with seasoned saucy ground beef, spicy pepperoni and three cheeses. A hearty appetizer, our Pizza Bread is a crowd-pleasing easy recipe to make. A perfect pizza recipe for game day, entertaining and the holidays!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. + 1/8 tsp. dried oregano, divided
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 jar pizza sauce, divided
  • 1 tube (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 ounces thin-sliced pepperoni, about 1/3 cup
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbs. butter, melted
  • 2 Tbs. grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. In large non-stick skillet cook ground beef, 1/2 tsp. oregano, garlic powder and kosher salt until browned, stirring frequently. Drain any excess drippings.
  3. Cool slightly and stir in 1/3 cup pizza sauce.
  4. Unroll pizza dough on baking sheet with shallow sides.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup pizza sauce down center of dough. Top with sliced provolone, pepperoni, ground beef and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cut dough in 1-inch intervals in towards filling, down along both sides of dough.
  7. Bring dough up and over filling.
  8. Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and remaining 1/8 tsp. oregano.
  9. Bake 20-25 minutes or until dough is golden and baked through.
  10. Heat remaining pizza sauce and serve as a dipping sauce with the pizza bread.
