Forget the bunny outfits. The attire this weekend at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles was considerably scarier, as ghouls and goblins roamed their way around the grounds in what has become an annual Halloween-holiday tradition for "Playboy" founder Hugh Hefner.
"It comes from childhood," he told AP Television Friday night. "I was very much influenced by the classic horror films when I was a kid, and in my early teens I actually created a club and a magazine called, 'Shudder.' And so the first club I created was not the Playboy club but the 'Shudder' club, and it was devoted to the love of the horror films and books and radio shows, so this is back to childhood."
An intimate party and media preview were held Friday night. The mansion's big annual Halloween bash was Saturday.
