Halloween was an absolute BLAST this year (erm, last year, since it's technically 2020 now and I'm just getting around to posting this! LOL). This was probably the last time we could pick the kids' Halloween costumes, at least Beau's, so we went all-out with the horror movie theme tradition for our whole family. If you don't know us in real life (haha) I'll fill you in - every year since Beau was born we have done horror movie-themed family costumes. (Check out my Instagram (@The_Dorman_Show) to see previous costumes, they were exceptional, too, if I do say so myself.) When he was about 5 months old, we did Arachnophobia with Beau in the baby carrier as a spider, I was the "web" and Blake was John Goodman's exterminator character. It was A+++ so the next year we decided to make it a tradition. I was pregnant with Brodie and we did The Shining, Blake had an ax and everything! The third year, we had planned to do Silence of the Lambs and had purchased/made costumes but Beau came down with a high fever and was super sick at Halloween, so we stayed home. I took a few pictures of Brodie's "first Halloween" in his little lamb costume but then returned it. So I was really excited to be able to finally see my vision come to fruition this year! As you can see in the video, Beau already wanted to choose his costume so we compromised by buying a store-bought Batman costume for his school party... Hannibal Lector wouldn't have been appropriate for that anyway! haha... Hopefully next year we can still do family costumes, but I have a feeling Beau is going to be much more opinionated in what he wears!
